Choose an output for the task you have
A WAV file, a MIDI file, and a share link preserve different parts of your work. WAV contains rendered audio. MIDI contains instructions such as notes and timing, so a music app needs an instrument to play it. A DrawMusic link opens the saved drawing with its playable melody and backing.
For someone who only needs to hear the result, send the WAV. For someone who wants to explore the picture or make a remix, send a link. For editing pitches and timing in MIDI-capable software, the relevant format is MIDI. You do not need all three to keep a useful first piece.
Download your music drawing as free WAV audio
Listen to the piece before downloading. If you want a slower or longer version, adjust it in the canvas first.
- Open Options and choose 4 or 8 bars. Set the tempo between 64 and 200 BPM.
- Press Listen to check the notes and any Gentle piano backing you enabled.
- Choose WAV to download the rendered loop. Keep the file somewhere you can find it outside this browser.
Share a drawing someone can play without signing in
Choose Finish & share, name the piece, and create its playable link. The link saves a snapshot of the original lines, notes, and backing on the server. Someone opening it can listen without an account, although their browser may require a tap on the playback control before sound starts.
A shared piece is unlisted by default. Leave Publish in gallery off if you do not want it listed in the public gallery. Unlisted does not mean access-controlled: anyone who has the link can open it and make a remix.
Understand what happens after you edit or remix
Editing the canvas after sharing does not update the old link. Create a new link to share the new version. This lets the original link keep playing the piece you saved at that point.
Save remix to canvas opens a shared piece as your own browser copy. Changes to that copy do not change the original. The working drawing is stored in this browser, so another device will not automatically have it. Use a share link to open a saved snapshot on another device; keep a WAV as a separate copy of the sound.
Check MIDI availability before planning an export
MIDI export is a Pro feature for drawing notes and detected audio melodies. Pro checkout is not open yet, so new visitors should use the available WAV and sharing workflows. Check the pricing page for current availability before relying on a MIDI download.
When MIDI access is available, the drawing export includes tempo and note instructions. It does not embed the original synthesizer sound or a picture of the drawing. Choose an instrument in your music app and listen again, because the tone can differ from the browser playback.
